Many of the recipes we make are from the Revolutionary War time period.  This recipe is from Hannah Glasse, one of George Washington's favorite cooks.  This is an onion soup - but not the onion soup everyone thinks about when they see onion soup on a restaurant menu.  This is a thick and creamy soup with lots of flavor.
