Caesar Creek State Park is SE of Dayton, Ohio, about 3 miles from I-71.  It is a large park with a mix of shaded and full sun sites.  There are two sections of the park, A, B and C are in one section and D, E and F are in the second section.  You will find more sunny spots in A, B and C and more shade in D, E and F. All the sites are electric, a few are full hook up in loop C.  

 

Some of the sites are designated as "Tent only" and those have 20 amp service, while the remaining spots have 30 amp service and a few of the newer, updated full service sites have 50 amp.

The sites at Caesar Creek are very spacious, some of the most spacious we have seen, however, there is not much privacy between the sites.    We opted for a site at the end of a row, which provided some privacy on our side of the site.

The park has numerous bathrooms and a few shower houses.  While they are not the newest facilities, they are kept clean and although I prefer my own facilities in our camper, my husband did not have a problem using the state's shower houses.  

​

There is a beach for use by campers and a boat ramp.  There are two dump stations for campers use (each one has two sides) and potable water.  The camp office offers fire wood and ice, along with the basic necessities for camping and the always popular shirts, hats and sweatshirts.

About seven miles away is the town of Waynesville.  Waynesville use to be toted as the "Antique Capital of Ohio."  But, unfortunately the antique business is not what it use to be and only a few antique shops remain.  There are some very cute shops with home decorating items, some very nice restaurants, a coffee/ice cream shop and a few shops typical of any small town (hardware, pharmacy etc.).  You will also find a small grocery/house goods store in Waynesville.    If you need anymore than this small store it will require about a 20 minute drive to the closest major grocery or Walmart.

We visited Caesar Creek in August and it was very quiet, especially during the week.  On the weekends it becomes a bit busier with boaters camping to enjoy the Caesar Creek Lake.    Outside the campground is the Caesar Creek Marina - it has all the facilities required for an enjoyable day on the lake.

If you are looking for other activities while at the park, you can visit the Caesar Creek Pioneer Village, the Nature Center and the Visitor's Center, all just about a 10 minute drive from the campground.    Within an hour's drive is the Dayton Air Force Museum, John Bryan State Park, Springfield, Ohio that is home to three large antique malls and Centerville, home of Bill's Donuts and Cabella's!
